Clinico-pathological Case Presentations

There will be three clinical case presentations during this session at 1310-1355 on Wednesday 5 April, and healthcare professionals are invited to submit cases (one per applicant) for review by the Chairs of the session; Dr Ula Mahadeva and Dr Melinda Tenant-Flowers. Cases should focus on problems in the differential diagnosis and management of HIV-related disease, where pathology (particularly cellular pathology, but not exclusively) indicates the diagnoses.

Low-level viraemia Case Presentations

There will be three clinical case presentations during this session at 1240-1325 on Friday 7 April, and healthcare professionals are invited to submit cases (one per applicant) for review by the Chairs of the session; Professor Anna Maria Geretti and Dr Nicola Mackie. Cases should focus on patients with low-level viraemia on antiretroviral therapy which can provide learning points on one of the following: reliability of assays, genetic barrier, amplifying low viral loads, intensification, adherence or switch.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding Case Presentations

There will be three clinical case presentations during this session at 1310-1355 on Thursday 6 April, and healthcare professionals are invited to submit cases (one per applicant) for review by the Chairs of the session; Dr Margaret Kingston and Dr Gareth Tudor-Williams. Cases should focus on difficult or interesting pregnancy cases and/or cases where breastfeeding occurred which can provide learning points for the audience.
