BHIVA has received a letter from Roche Products Limited regarding Viracept (nelfinavir mesilate) 250mg film-coated tablets and Invirase (saquinavir) 200mg hard capsule.
Roche has decided to discontinue the production on Viracept globally when the marketing authorisation in the European Union expires on 23rd January 2013.
Additionally, upon stock exhaustion (expected November 2012) the Invirase 200mg hard capsule formulation will be discontinued in the UK due to low demand, although the 500mg film-coated tablets will continue to be available.
