Professor Anne Johnson is made a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire

BHIVA congratulates Professor Anne Johnson, Professor of Infectious Disease Epidemiology, University College London on being on being made Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the Queen's Birthday Honours lists 2013. Professor Johnson has made an enormous contribution to the field of HIV and to sexual health more widely, in particular for the ground breaking NATSAL studies of sexual behaviour in the UK which informed much of the work of the past 20 years. Anne acted as expert advisor to the House of Lords Select Committee on HIV which reported in 2011.
