The British HIV Association (BHIVA) is one of nearly 50 organisations and health experts to call for a commitment to public health funding ahead of the 2024 budget. The letter is written by the Association of Directors of Public Health (ADPH), and signed by 47 organisations, including the Faculty of Public Health, NHS Confederation and Royal Society of Medicine. While welcoming the new Government’s commitment to improving the nation’s health, it warns that a coherent, cross-government approach, backed by investment in public health services is needed to achieve public health policy ambitions. It also asks the Government to create an environment where everyone has the access to the basic building blocks needed to live healthier lives for longer.
