Event Description

On Sunday 30th November 2025, we gathered in Glasgow to mark World AIDS Day, a time to remember those we have lost, reflect on the experiences of people living with HIV today, and renew our shared commitment to tackling HIV stigma.

The afternoon placed the voices of people living with HIV at its heart, celebrating progress, recognising the challenges that remain, and reflecting on the reality of living with HIV in Scotland today. Together, we shined a light on Scotland’s work to eliminate HIV transmission by 2030, build a society free from stigma and support people living with HIV to live long and healthy lives.

This year’s national event was sponsored by the British HIV Association (BHIVA) and delivered in partnership with Waverley Care, Terrence Higgins Trust (THT), NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, NHS Lothian, NHS Grampian, Public Health Scotland.

We are delighted that this event was hosted in Glasgow – a city with a proud history of care, activism, and innovation in HIV.
